Who are We
Who We Are
"But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the Word, retain it, and persevering product a crop."
Fellowship Baptist Church of Pine Hills (FBCPH) was organized and chartered on February 11, 1990 at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church, 3099 Orange Center Boulevard, organizer and pastor: Rev. Arthur D. Sims. Sr.
On that night, FBCPH was organized. After that night, the city of Orlando was never the same. A ship had been anchored, and a movement of unity and balance called "Fellowship" would set new heights for the Orlando community and the surrounding vicinity.
With God's showers of blessings, brethren were ordained into the Deacon Ministry. A board of Directors was appointed. A constitution secured, presented and approved by the Church. On July 19th, 1990, the congregation moved to St. Paul Presbyterian Church.
Pastor Sims shared the vision of a $530,000 bond ministry to purchase acreage to build a new church. After a telethon, over $95,000 was pledged to the building fund which increased our credit standing the bands and enabled us to launch our bond program.
Our 1st bond program was completed in 1991. The church witnessed the purchased of 18 acres of land located in a growing and prosperous community of Orlando. The acreage contained a beautiful 9-room house with an Olympic size swimming pool, and a beautiful lake at the northern end of the property.
